Materials include typescript copies of Elizabeth Wood Kane's journal of 1860 to 1863. Both typescripts were created by family members. The first volume is labeled "Original - First Half" and includes typescripts for the journal entries between 1860 and 1861. The second volume is labeled "Civil War Years" and it contains all the journal entries of 1860 through 1863. There is a loose piece of paper with handwritten notes on it that seems to be torn from one of the volumes. Dated 1860-1863.
